Nintendo World Championship - Gold Cart
In all seriousness, you can’t go wrong with the classic Mario Bros, Contra, etc.
If you are looking for some good vehicular games

Oh man, that’s sweet! You realize you are gonna spend serious dough on the games, right?
Anyway, some of my favorites:
Battletoads (awesome, but HARD)
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
Double Dragon
Ultimate Air Combat
Marble Madness
Pirates!
North vs. South (effing hilarious)
Wheel of Fortune (stupid fun)
Snake Rattle & Roll
Agrajag

Batman
Silliness of video aside, it’s actually a really cool game. Damn near impossible but cool.
Another one of my favorites was the Star Wars game. It seems generally disliked by the masses but I always loved it. Definitely requires patience to figure out the correct way to do things. There’s a hidden area in one board you can farm for extra lives that make it possible to complete.
It had multiple games types within it. Which blew my mind when I was a kid.
You had side scroller platforming:
First person space combat:
And top down vehicle action:
And you could play as Han Solo or Princess Leia.
